Club Heats (level 3)
Entry fee: normal table money at club heats; £32 per team at 1st Qualifinal; £24 at 2nd QF.
In the club heats,¾ and ½ Green Points will be awarded in equal blocks by the HBA to those who qualify for the 1st Qualifinal. Green Point awards gradually increase during the final stages with a potential maximum aggregate of 10¾ to the winners. The winning team will be entitled to represent Hertfordshire in the Pachabo Cup at Hinckley on 14/15 June 2008 subject to meeting the HBA’s entry conditions – the HBA will pay the entry fees but no other expenses.
Qualifiers must pre-enter for the 1st Qualifinal - (see form on website).
Teams who have not pre-entered will not be accepted.
Level 3 conventions in club heats from which 50% qualify for knockout stages where Level 4 conventions are permitted and all players must be HBA members with Hertfordshire as county of allegiance. Two rounds will be played at each qualifinal. For some teams there will be another round (played privately) between qualifinals for which there is a play by date of 3 February 2008.
Teams may have a maximum of six players, but the consent of the Tournament Committee is needed to add players after the 1st Qualifinal. Club heats:-

PLATE (for teams eliminated in the 1st round of the Humble Cup 1st Qualifinal)
To be played in parallel with the Humble Cup with the 1st round of head to head matches taking place during the evening session of the Humble Cup 1Q/F. No additional entry fees for the 1st round; entry fees of £12 per team at the 2nd Q/F. This is not a green pointed event.
1st QUALIFINAL: Bridge Centre at 1pm on Sunday 6 January 2008.
The draw will take place at 12.40pm when preferably at least one member of each team should be present.
2nd QUALIFINAL: Bridge Centre at 1pm on Sunday 17 February 2008.
The play-by date for the Final is 1 May 2008.
